Registration:
Registration is open now through February 17, 2008. Registrations are handled online through an interactive .pdf located here: Baseball 2008 registration. PLEASE NOTE: Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 or above will be needed to view the form. Please, no manual forms.

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR REGISTRATION DATA FILE VIA EMAIL. It is the data file that we need for the registration process; not the form. Submitting your data file electronically saves us from having to re-enter the information.
Please complete the steps below. If you are having difficulty completing or submitting the form please contact me at walter_storie@aon.com.
1. Click the "Baseball Registration 2008" link and complete the form.
2. Click the "Submit" button.
3. The "Select Email Client" box will appear. Select the option that best describes how you send email. The "Desktop Email Application" means your email resides on your computer (Outlook, Lotus Notes, etc.). The "Internet Email" or "Other" options means you access your email through the internet (Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc.).
4. If you select the "Desktop Email Application" option - After clicking "OK" the "Send Data File" box will appear. Click "Send Data File" and your email should automatically appear.
5. If you select one of the other email options the "Sending the Data File"
box will appear after you click "OK." Click "Save Data File" and save the data file to your desktop or hard drive. Then open your email and create a new message to stmichaelsports@gmail.com. Attach the data file you just saved and send the email.
Fee:
The fee is $100. Payment is by check only made payable to St. Michael Parish Baseball. Please drop off your check in the school office between the hours of 7:45am and 3:00pm. For after-hours drop-off, place your check in an envelope (marked “Baseball Fee”) and place it through the mail slot on the school office door. Donations are appreciated and will help fund the league. They may be included in the fee.

Coaching:
All coaches must be Virtus trained. Virtus is an Archdiocese required program. Please visit the Virtus site ( www.virtus.org ) to view a schedule of available classes. Click "Registration", then "View a list of sessions" and select the Galveston-Houston option. Additionally, coaches will need to attend the league coaches' meeting on 3/25/08.
Season:
The first game is on 3/29/08 and the last game is on 5/17/08. Schedules will not be available until after the coaches’ meeting on 3/25/08.
Team Selection:
Teams are selected by grade. In cases where there are more than enough kids to form two teams a draft may be used to make the teams fair. Special considerations, such as car pooling, should be noted on the registration form. Please note that every effort will be made to address those issues, but no guarantee can be made that your child will be on the team of their/your choice.
Equipment:
Gloves and Helmets - Each player will need to supply their own glove and helmet.
Bats - We have bats; but, you are welcome to bring your own as long as they meet standard Little League and ASA softball guidelines (no big barrel bats).
Uniforms – We supply a hat, jersey and socks. You will need to supply pants and a belt, or shorts. Your coach will make that decision.
Code of Conduct:
Everyone who participates in St. Michael Parish sports must abide by the Code of Conduct (see the link above). By clicking the registration "Submit" button you are agreeing to comply with the terms of the Code.
